As the parents we are the home school for our children. It’s our responsibility to understand how a child develops mentally as well as physically. Only then we can help our children develop properly. Here we will focus on children of two to five years of age and their activities and the achievements.    

This is to help you– as parents what to expect from your child. You may get a few answers about your questions on child development.

For that purpose we must be careful about how the children learn things, their way of thinking, how they learn to read and write.

As these children are very immature, carefree, and ignorant; making them learn something is very challenging. Before you start planning on education for your children, don’t forget to observe and realize their inclinations, interest, activities etc., only then you will be able to teach them. 

While teaching children, its imperative to use various teaching aids- learning aids, activity lessons, pictures, sight words etc.; as these things make children interested in learning.

Here are a few tips to develop your children’s interest in learning:-

1. When you try to teach your children through reading, be dramatic.Act out the stories.  Encourage them to recreate such stories.
2. Create a combined scrapbook. Put photos, images, drawings, and captions in that scrapbook together creatively.
3. While teaching the children, try to teach things using audio-visual aids so that they can relate themselves with those aids. Additionally, it will improve their understanding about concepts like size, shape, color etc.
