Lettuce and Carrots

Not all can afford brand new IBM iSeries Servers to be used for the requirements in the office.  Those things cost a lot and if your company is still starting, you want to save up first before investing in items such as those.  This was the direction that the management has reiterated on us when we had our meeting to discuss on the needs of each department.  Since we are still starting and there are only a couple of people handling everything, the owners did not see the need to go on buying branded stuff for the office.

But the head of the technical department knew that branded items means higher quality and can translate to more savings in the long run.  Good thing he was able to convince them to let him purchase used IBM servers for the office.  He has been relying on a store for his computer and server needs and assured everyone of the quality of the items from this store. As they say, the proof of the pie is in the eating so we all held on to our opinions until the servers are delivered and all systems are up and running.  When it was done, we all were praises for the new setup because you could not tell that it was refurbished.
