Lettuce and Carrots

My boss was the very serious type and it was really hard to make him laugh. Because of this, the whole office made a contest this Christmas; whoever can make the boss smile during our office Christmas party gets to have a week off. Everybody was up for it. It was a win-win situation! Get the boss to like you, and have a luxurious week off.

So everybody was off for the search of the perfect gift to make the boss smile. Others were thinking of jack and the boxes and stuff like that. I, on the other hand, wanted to give him something he could laugh at and use at the same time.

Then it hit me; why not give him cheap personal checks? (But still incredibly elegant, of course) I came across this website one time, and they were making checks with different designs. You can pick from over 1000 ones! So I visited the site, picked a good design, and ordered them right away. It was the perfect website ever!

Christmas party came, and gift giving was already happening. Everybody seemed to have no luck in making him smile, until he opened my gift. He smiled right away! My gift was checks that had so many smileys on it. He loved the gift so much that he asked me where I got it so that he could give the upper bosses the same gift. Guess I have the whole week off!
