Lettuce and Carrots

I really adore the house adjacent to ours. I don’t know the owners on a personal level, but the outside view of their house gives me the impression that whoever they are, they definitely have impeccable taste. They have a very well maintained front lawn, and the flowers are also well taken care of.

At night, the lighting in their lawn and front porch is very unique, and the dim lights and its arrangement add additional drama to what there is already. But the best thing I really love about their home is their Iron Gate. I have never seen any like it before. The design is very elegant, yet there is a modern touch in it. Also, the strong element of the iron gives a feel of security and peace that ordinary gates fail to give. It is somehow an infusion of beauty and function, and for me, modern life must always be like that.

My neighbor’s house became my inspiration when we also decided to renovate our house. Though our gate will remain as is, I want to put some iron in the interior of our house. I want the feel it give to the overall look of the house, since iron is really classy looking. I am planning to change our wood Stair railing to iron, to make our house look more modern and unique.
