Cleaning Gift - The Best you can give
It’s my granny’s 80th birthday and she wants to have that big celebration since she feels that her time is almost up. She’s been telling me that for the past decade and really, it’s boring me. She wanted to hold the party at her cute little home outside the city and wanted someone to clean her entire house. “You are in awning cleaning duty young lady!” She called me at my office one day.
You have got to be kidding me, nana. I am a woman now - not the little girl you used to command for errands and stuff. The line was silent for a moment and she said: You will always be my little girl, Anna. And you know that I will be gone soon… I just want to know that you will take care of my house. Anyway, bye big-shot lawyer.” She hung up. I felt bad that day. I couldn’t work. She was right. Her time is almost up and all I’m thinking about was me.
The day before her birthday, I brought to her home a team of cleaning crew - the people who maintained our office buildings up north to do every bit of cleaning in her house. Not only was the roof tended to, I also included a house washing service to complete the package. Nana was so happy and she hugged me tight. She said she had the best gift ever and that made my day. A week later, Nana passed away. At least, I know, she died happy and that was because of me and your company. Thanks.
