Lettuce and Carrots

I am wondering if car insurance rates will ever come back down to where they used to be. I remember a time when car insurance companies used to really have to go out and get new customers and today since it is a law to have car insurance, it seems that they have all gotten together to charge whatever they choose.

I have recently discovered that if you find lower car insurance rates with a different company that you may be able to get your current company to lower your current rates to match the competitors. I am not saying that all of the car insurance companies will do this because they will not. Only the smart ones that want to continue to build their businesses. I think that the others just think that you will come back because they think they give better customer service or they have a nicer office or website. I think that all car insurance companies should wise up and realize that it is all about the money these days, especially with this economy.

Maybe our president will decide to work on giving everyone car insurance after he gets the health insurance thing all worked out and then the car insurance rates will start to fall. We can only hope, but I seriously doubt that it will happen.
