Two Iseries Servers Sell For Small Amount
How Greg got Ted to sell him his two iseries servers for such a low amount, is still a mystery to me. I figured that he must have owed him something or lost a bet to let them go that cheap. I think that Ted even cried a little when the iseries servers were pulled out of the wall.
Greg was not going to used them right away; he was going to put them in his new office building that was to be completed in about six months. He would store them in his garage until then, and hope that nothing happened to them.
The fact that Greg had just saved thousands of dollars by purchasing these two servers from Ted made him very happy. The pseries servers that the computer company had shown him about two months earlier had cost much more than what he had just paid.
Greg called the computer guy to cancel the order of the pseries servers and to let them know that he had his own equipment that he would need them to install. They redid the estimate for installation.
Till this day, we still do not know what made Ted sell those iseries servers to Greg but they have been going strong for about three years and so is Greg’s new business.
