Public Transport - How to make a compensation Claim.

If you are unfortunate enough to be a victim of a personal injury whilst traveling on public transport, for example, being involved in a bus accident or train accident, you can claim compensation claim. This claim can recover costs that have incurred as a direct result of you injury.

If you can prove that the injury was the fault of the public transport company, you should seek out professional advice, e.g. from a lawyer. They will be able to tell you exactly how to go about claiming compensation, and the right routes you should travel to ensure that your claim runs without a hitch.

Most importantly, you should see a Doctor or go to the emergency room as soon as you can after the incident has taken place. This is not only to get you the medical assistance you may need, but also to ensure that you have the right medical documentation, if and when you decide to take your claim to court.

You could also write a letter of complaint against the transport company. This may assure the company that you are willing to claim for compensation against them, and they may even offer you a settlement out of court. This generally amounts to more compensation received.
